Jackie Mykytiuk

Jackie is 25 and currently works for Associated Engineering as a water treatment engineer. She graduated from the University of Alberta in 2008 with a degree in Civil-Environmental Engineering. Jackie is a dancer at heart who started dancing at the age of 3 and continues to be involved in the dancing community to this day. Jackie thrives on living a sustainable life and actively promotes a green lifestyle to keep the planet a sustainable place for centuries to come. Jackie has wanted to travel for many years with first thoughts of travel being with a University exchange, followed by a desire to migrate to Australia after University. Jackie now looks forward to taking a full year free of work and other commitments to travel with the love of her life.

Jarrett Mykytiuk

Jarrett was born and raised in the Edmonton area and was instilled with the value of travel at a young age. Placing an emphasis on seeing other environments, his family took trips as frequently as they could afford to do. After completing his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, he took a job with a provincial financial regulator. After neglecting his sense of adventure due to scholastic and career endeavours, he is finally ready to trade his briefcase for a backpack. His true passions reside in music, where he plays both drums and guitar, photography and board sports. He is looking forward to seeing and experiencing the world with his best friend and documenting it for the world to see, and hopefully inspiring other people to pursue the adventure of a lifetime.
