Episode Six – Gateway to Asia

Malaysia and Singapore were the first stops on the Asian leg of our grand world tour. The stop was equal parts interesting, exciting, educational and eye opening. Asia is a wonderful place and Malaysia was a smooth transition from the “western” type of traveling we had become accustomed to in NZ and Australia. We spent three weeks exploring the area and got to do some incredible things like enjoying a $30 Singapore Sling at Raffles Hotel, exploring the Hindu worship place at Batu Caves, experiencing the strange phenomenon of an asian fish spa in Kuala Lumpur, eating delicious food in Penang, attempting to take the jungle train in Kota Bharu and wrapping the trip up looking for some tigers in the world’s oldest rainforest at Taman Negara. Check out the episode for more details and as always we hope you enjoy!

Hi great video! Jackie you can jump off a cliff in New Zealand yet you are afraid of some tiny skin eating fish! the jungle trek looks interesting except for the leeches. The temples are amazing architectural structures. Jarrett stay way from the hot peppers they are more than you can handle. The amazing journey continues.

F, This is some good stuff. Just like last time this is the best vid yet. I think there was even an unintentional trade you blade reference in there.

Keep up that spicy sucking pal; you dont look like a weirdo in a strange country at all when your doing that.

Gerald, the fish felt REALLY weird – you put your feet in and suddenly there were a hundred fish biting at them, not for me haha!! Jarr thought I was being a baby so I told him to try and he didn’t even last a minute :)

Thanks for the good feed back guys, much appreciated!

You two are AWESOME! Loved the video, you have visited some amazing places, thanks for sharing.

Jarrett, you leech killer. They weren’t even on your skin sucking blood, they were only trying to help you clean your dirty socks and shoes.

Jackie, I wouldn’t have stuck my feet into the pond of piranha’s either.

All this love is much appreciated – the vids take us SOOOOOO long to put together but its worth it when we find out peeps are enjoying em!

Ger – the chilli pepper was an accident, put in the soup for a lil flavour and it smuggled itself into my chopsticks via some noodles. Hot little pepps tho!

Myke – The dagger scene did have a marble engine reference, subliminal at the time but realized it on rough edit! Glad that it keeps getting better for ya pal!

Krista – I am the killer of all leeches! No way are those litter bloodsuckers getting anywhere near my precious red cells!

    Videos look so professional guys!!
I completely understand not keeping your feet in the water….Its weird, we did that awhile ago. I didn’t last long either. The jungle looks awesome! You look great Jackie…not sweaty at all!! (Although I do think the black socks are a good look for both of you!) Keep having a great time!!

Haha thanks Erin! The fish spa thing is just too weird plus my feet are super ticklish…I would rather a normal pedi :) I know, the black were a sweet addition to my grey hiking suit haha…kept the leeches off though

Another incredible video! I am alittle worried though…these videos are so good that this could turn into a fulltime job. If that happens you two may never come back to Canada. Even so, i am excited to see the next one.
