the Plain of Jars and Phonsavan Pics

A headache to get to, a dusty little city and an archeological mystery, all these elements combined to make for some great times photographing the countryside of Laos. The Plain of Jars is an area where we snapped WAY too many pics, but the angles, jars and lighting were all worth it! Enjoy!

Great pictures. the jars are laid out in interesting patterns, i wonder if it had something to do with community food storage. are the jars made of stone or clay and what kind if dig? the mountains look like something out of apocalypse now. lots of bomb destruction and a temple no less those people must have been demoralized.
