In Part Two of Thailand we take the night bus up to the northern city of Chiang Mai to celebrate the holiday of Songkran, also known as Thai New Years, and partake in a massive three day water fight. Before getting totally drenched, we checked out a few other areas that Chiang Mai has to offer.

PS – How many lady boys do you spot in this vid???

I counted 10 lady boys. Songkran looks like a ridiculous amount of fun. I’m surprised by how many westerners are partaking in the festivities. Jarrett, I almost mistook you for Arnie when you were coming across with street with your arsenal haha. I wonder if the corn on the cob tastes like home? Keep the videos coming!

PS Really like the new format. I find it more interesting with your commentaries and watching you interact with the locals. Very entertaining!
Water fights look like a lot of fun. Good thing they have the weather for it. Not like Alberta. 7 above in June. Interesting rituals but it’s so great to people celebrating what they believe in.
So glad you had a chance to participate in this. Ruby had said it was a BLAST!!!

Come on people! We know you are watching these bad boys, just throw a line out there with how many LB’s you have spotted…Unless you are too embarrassed with how good you are at spottin’ them, a natural eye perhaps?
oh man…that festival looked like sooo much fun!! Love it!!
I counted 14 including jarrett
Songkran is complete madness, something to do once in your lifetime…maybe not twice hahaha!
As for the ladyboys Ethan, stay away from Thailand as you might encounter a little problem picking up a supposed sweetheart from the bar…
Since I saw so many wouldn’t that mean that I am good at spotting them so I wouldn’t run into that problem?
