Photos of Phnom Penh, Choeung Ek and S21

Visiting Choeung Ek and Tuol Sleng Prision was an emotionally draining experience that I wrote about in this post, taking photos of places where countless people suffered was difficult, although brutal this is the unfortunate reality that many Cambodians faced during Pol Pots pointless reign of terror.

The whole situation is very strange, why a native cambodians would unleash such brutality on their own population is pathetic and sad, of course there are all kinds of theories regarding the real backing behind the Khmer Rouge but no one knows for sure.
