Amarbayasgalant Monastary is as legit as it gets, hand built hundreds of years ago without the aid of a single nail and barely showing it’s age. It’s by no means perfect but the vibe of the monastery is unbelievable – Theravadin monks praying aloud while cloaked in saffron robes and tarnished prayer wheels that are easily generations older than me are just s couple reasons this place feels so mystic. It also doesn’t hurt that it is built in a gorgeous valley on the Mongolian steppe. See for yourself.
